Our objectives
Established in 2005, Oaken Grove Community Centre is run by Haxby & Wigginton Youth & Community Association (registered charity no. 1105675) which aims to actively promote the wellbeing of residents in Haxby, Wigginton and surrounding area.
Our activities
We run a youth provision in Haxby and Wigginton, which comprises of various youth groups for afest 8 - 19. HWYCA are also responsible for the running of Oaken Grove Community Centre, based in Haxby, which has recently been extended to accommodate the Haxby & Wigginton Explore Library and Reading Cafe. We hire out community rooms to a range of local groups, as well as offer space for lonely or isolated individuals to meet and socialise as part of our Pop Inn Warm Welcome.
