Our objectives

We are a youth club in Grove Park, Lewisham based in a purpose built 1960s modernist building we saved from demolition after running a successful community campaign.  Now we are open 5 days per week running youth services for ages zero to 17 (21 SEND) which are all free of charge.  Our Trust is responsible for all facility management, direct delivery of youth services and partner relationships with third parties operating in our building.  In an area of high indecees of multiple deprivation, we provide vital services for young people: sports, arts, media, games and a safe space for young people to mix and engage with professional staff.  In an era when 800plus youth clubs have closed in the UK, GPYC is a remarkable story of success against all odds, due to the unwavering work of our Trust.

Our activities

Through our direct work and selective delivery partners we look after and provide a space for growth for hundreds of young people every week.  Through providing a free safe space, CYP can discuss matters affecting them, experience activities across a broad spectrum of sports, games, arts, music and media. Our charity fund raises to manage the beautiful space and deliver services desperately needed by our community in SE London.  Typical sessions cater for between 30 to 50 attendees at a time and rely on both paid professionals and volunteers.  To deliver all of this our Trust has a board of Trustees who manage all governance, financial matters and partner relationships.
