We provide practical activity based care services for people with dementia and support, respite and information to family carers. The person with dementia enjoys meeting with others and doing things which gives their days interest and meaning. Both the person with dementia and the family carers are encouraged to face their difficulties knowing that there can be good times and that they are not on their own.
Qualified Dementia Practitioners accompany clients on a one to one basis to facilitate activities and outings of the clients' choosing. We also run 7 Activity Day Centres which provide group activities, time to socialise and a hot lunch cooked on the premises. Carers can attend these sessions too if they choose and volunteers assist the staff to provide support and friendship.
Family carers are supported through times of respite while their family member is receiving our services and with information and guidance from staff .
