Activities

We organise and assist our local groups to organise trips to various locations which in the past have included; Tate Britain; Capel Manor, Folkestone and Southend as well as boat trips and barbeques

We hold introductory multi-sports activity days that enable vision impaired people to try out a wide range of activities in a safe environment, run by qualified coaches.  Recent sports have included: athletics, football, tandem bike riding and tennis.  All participants are offered the opportunity to continue playing sport through organisations such as Metro Blind Sport or by being signposted to inclusive local clubs.

We run a variety of training courses covering topics aimed at anyone who wishes to offer a high quality service to blind and partially-sighted people.  Courses include: Basic Vision Impairment Awareness; sighted guiding; effective communication and accessible equipment

We offer access technology and advice training which includes accessing mobile phones, tablets, computers and any other technology.
