Driving Aid To Ukraine
Our objectives
In 2022 we hired small vehicles and drove to Ukraine with donations of food, medical equipment,first aid kits and clothes. We now transport up to 24 tons every 6-8 weeks of medical equipment, medical aid, educational equipment, building tools, clothes,in returning artic trucks. Our donations are delivered to orphanages, hospitals and IDP centres. We currently collaborate with charities in the UK, Poland and Ukraine.
We aim to continue supporting the injured, the orphans and the IDP for as long as it is needed. We have developed partnerships with other charities within the UK with similar objectives and levels of governance.
Our funding objective is to achieve core funding through sponsorship and grants to cover storage, transport and operational costs.
Our activities
We collect donations from around the UK and work with charities that donate pallets of pre-loved and new clothes for us to send to Ukraine. We have facilitated other trucks from Europe and UK in their aid delivery.
We have recently submitted an application for CIO charity status to run concurrently with DATU and have pilated deliveries to homeless charities, baby banks and hostels within the UK, something we are looking to develop.
All donations are gifted and given to Ukraine freely. Storage has been gifted and transport is funded by a mix ot personall contributions, crowd funding, public events and company sponsorship.
