CPRE Buckinghamshire aims to:

  1. Promote and enhance the character of the Buckinghamshire countryside
  2. Promote a more sustainable approach to land use
  3. Defend the Buckinghamshire countryside from damaging development


Activities involve:

  • Investigating and responding to planning applications which have a significant impact upon the countryside
  • Campaigning to protect and enhance the countryside particularly the greenbelt and AONB
  • Resisting infrastructure developments that irretrievably damage the countryside such as HS2
  • Assisting fellow organisations with similar aims
  • Liaising with parish councils, district councils and other conservation bodies
  • Preparation of responses to wider consultations, including planning appeals
