The Community Revolution CIC
Our objectives
The Community Revolution is an organisation that focuses on using innovative means to address the problems facing it’s beneficiaries/service users. These include; skills training programmes, digital media production business and a multimedia digital magazine publication. The magazine is a platform which focuses on providing solutions for the challenges facing its target audiences.
Beneficiaries
1. Young people (16-24 years old, especially those from low income backgrounds)
2. Migrant families
3. Ethnic minorities (with on focus on Black ethnic groups)
4. Groups under represented in both the media, and digital industries
5. Groups suffering from digital exclusion. These include; low income groups with limited access to technology, age groups that have not grown up in the digital-era (i.e. born pre-1980s)
Our activities
The Community Revolution CIC engages in a range of activities in order to meet it's objective. Activities include but are not limited to:
Skills training programmes/workshops, in both digital, and media industries (as well as wider general digital literacy skills). Indicative programme content:
Digital skills include: web development, digital marketing, UX design etc
Media skills include: video/audio production • mentorship to form career paths
Digital literacy skills include: basic use of technology (using the internet, mobile phones, office software etc)
Give service users vocational education and training via a series of workshops; producing content for the digital magazine.
Creating and running accredited qualifications. Once beneficiaries has complete training they will become eligible for accreditation
Forming partnerships with industry to deliver skills programmes, workshops and relevant projects to help facilitate knowledge transfer.
Digital media production business, providing services to local businesses at affordable rates.
