Knowing that your child is going to die before you do is the unthinkable reality that thousands of families across Scotland have to copy with every day. Each week, three children in Scotland die from an incurable condition.
Children's Hospices Across Scotland - better known as CHAS - is dedicated to supporting every single member of these families as they face the toughest challenge of their lives.
We are committed to making sure that no matter how short their time together may be, it is a time filled with happiness and fun.
Today, CHAS can only reach one in three of the families across Scotland who needs our support. We are determined to reach them all.
At CHAS we deliver our care in hospitals, through our hospice at home service and through our two children's hospices, Robin House in Balloch and Rachel House in Kinross. We provide respite and end of life care to children with a life-shortening condition, no matter where they live in Scotland. Our holistic service extends to the entire family with the Family Support providing sibling support and support to parents and grandparents.
We involve over 850 volunteers who are core to our work. They raise vital funds for CHAS, provide support in our offices and help to deliver our services in the hospices and through our hospice at home service.
