Activities

Remarkable Me

Aims to target children that are experiencing stress and difficulties in their lives due to poor self-esteem and negative self-belief and as a result maybe failing to reach their potential.  We will be using the Arts throughout each session to help awaken and inspire children to develop their creativity which we believe will motivate and encourage them to overcome hurdles, try new things, learn new skills, enhance their emotional literacy and develop their resilience.

Music & Sensory Babies & Toddlers

Babies and toddlers love music and often this is how they communicate for the first time, whether it's through gesture, smiling or action.
Calm Farm's Music and Sensory groups are amazing and completely unique. They provide many different exciting experiences that are great fun for babies, toddlers and parents to share in the important first years. During the first 2 years of a baby's life they learn using their sensory motor skills and at Calm Farm we aim to assist this process through the use of our wonderful lighting equipment and wide range of sensory activities.

These groups are designed to promote all areas of your child's development which is inline with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Music & Sensory PMLD

Calm Farm's experienced and friendly team work with sensory impaired people who have Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and we do this through a range of activities for children, young people and adults.

Calm Farm encourages a combination of TCRM techniques, (Touch-massage, Communication, and Relaxation using Music) as well as Movement and the use of Multi-Sensory Equipment.

What do these groups involve?

Beautiful world instruments and drums
Massage and relaxation
Amazing light projectors
Light up balls and fans
Parachutes and ribbon twirlers
Range of sensory props and activities
Singing songs and learning actions
Stretching and dancing
Bubble machine and amazing props
Social time and refreshments

This service aims to provide the group with a range of stimulating and positive experiences, while developing communication skills and movement through involvement in different sensory activities.
