BRITISH WOMEN PILOTS' ASSOCIATION
Our objectives
The BWPA is a membership organisation that exists to support women who fly or who are learning to fly, and to encourage participation in aviation by women who have yet to try it. Members are of all ages, experience and backgrounds but share a common passion. Membership supports us in our outreach initiatives, and helps us fund scholarships for female pilots across the country.
Our activities
The BWPA hold regular regional networking events, including mentoring, and educational visits. We raise scholarship funding from our partners, sponsors, and a proportion of our own membership funding provide for scholarships, bursaries and awards. We hold insightful talks from internal and external sources, dedicated careers advice, STEM Ambassadors and STEM partners and collaboration with like-minded European pilot organisations through the Federation of European Women Pilots (FEWP). We celebrate our members successes on our website and social media feeds and promote events through our those and our 9 regional WhatsApp groups and emails. We preserve BWPA history through an archive collection.
