Objectives

Borderlands is a charity based in Bristol and exists to work with refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants to help them from exclusion to belonging. We provide weekly drop-in at our welcome centre, we operate a mentoring scheme and we offer a variety of wellbeing activity, including sleep support sessions, yoga, sawing and fitness classes. In the last years, we have also started doing outreach and casework in different hotels where AS/R are currently placed. Bristol has always been a dispersal area welcoming thousands of newly arrived asylum seekers every year. In the last two years the number of AS have tripled and our work has significantly increased, as has Borderlands' strategic role in the wider refugee sector.
