Our objectives
Beechwood Cancer Care is a local North West Charity who support patients, families and friends through cancer, life-limiting illness and bereavement. Our Team provide counselling, complementary therapies and a wide range of wrap-around support to people of all ages, to help them with their emotional wellbeing when facing the shock of diagnosis, effects of treatment and the impact from the loss of a loved one.
Our activities
- Help children come to terms with the illness or loss of a parent or family member
- Help carers cope with the difficulties and uncertainty that the illness of a loved one can bring
- Support clients who are ready to move on, exploring on-going support options
- Provide guidance and support to those ready to return to work
- Provide one-to-one support, facilitated groups and peer support groups to help the bereaved
