Objectives

The primary purpose of Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees is to improve the quality of life of older people in general and older people in Calderdale & Kirklees in particular.

In the formulation and implementation of the strategy, Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees will structure its activities around providing the four functions of:

  • Services and Support

  • Public Education and Social Advocacy

  • Innovation and Research

  • Partnership and Co-operation

The way in which we behave and act aims to encompass the following values:

Enabling - We enable older people to live independently and exercise choice.

Influential - We draw strength from the voices of older people, and ensure that those voices are heard.

Dynamic - We are innovative and driven by results. We aim to always “deliver” for older people.

Caring - We are passionate about what we do and care about each individual.

Expert - We are authoritative, trusted and quality-orientated.
