Objectives

At Action we save and change children’s lives through medical research

We believe that the diseases that devastate the lives of so many of our children can be beaten. We have been funding medical breakthroughs since we began in 1952 like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine – helping to save thousands of children’s lives and change many more.

Surprisingly medical research to help children is poorly funded in the UK. Action Medical Research has a critical job to do in helping fill this gap to protect children. The prospects for finding new cures and treatments are almost within our grasp. We have vital research ready to go – we simply can’t fund it all.

With your help we’re determined to change this and make a real difference for children.

Activities

Action Medical Research Scotland organise a range of events to raise funds.  We work with corporate organisations making applications for charitable support.

We are constantly looking for people to take part in events, organise events and introduce us to other influential people who can help us raise funds which will allow us to continue funding vital medical research.

None of our work would be possible without the generosity of people who make donations, raise funds and take part in events, as well as our trust and corporate partners.
