What will you be doing?

We are seeking a talented Volunteer Writer to help us develop high-quality written content for our upcoming blog. This role is ideal for someone with professional writing experience who is passionate about nature, sustainability, ethical farming, and environmental awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and write engaging blog articles (topics may include sustainability, biodiversity, ethical farming, community stories, and environmental issues)
  • Use storytelling to bring our projects and values to life
  • Ensure content is accessible, accurate, and aligned with our charity’s ethos
  • Support the development of thought pieces and news items to raise awareness of key issues
  • Work closely with the Director and team to identify themes and opportunities for content

 

What are we looking for?

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Professional writing experience (journalism, blogging, creative, or technical writing)
  • Excellent level of written English, with strong grammar and style
  • Strong research skills and ability to understand complex subjects clearly
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, biodiversity, ethical farming, and protecting the planet
  • Ability to write in a way that is engaging and accessible for a wide audience
  • Alignment with Willowbrook Farm Charity’s mission and values

Desirable:

  • Experience writing for charities, nonprofits, or advocacy organisations
  • Familiarity with SEO, blog publishing platforms, or content strategy
  • Knowledge of environmental and social issues
