Help People in Harmony maintain an inclusive and accessible online presence. This flexible volunteer role involves updating website content, improving user experience and supporting the visibility of events, partnerships and community activities.

What will you be doing?

People in Harmony is looking for a volunteer to take responsibility for maintaining and developing our digital content and website. This role ensures that our online presence remains current, accessible, and reflective of our work. The focus is on keeping content up to date, improving how information is presented, and supporting the visibility of events, partnerships, and resources.

Update website content, including news, events, and organisational information

  • Create and share digital content for the website and online platforms, including event updates, blogs and community news
  • Support the development of engaging and accessible online content that reflects People in Harmony’s activities, values and partnerships
  • Ensure the website is clear, accurate and easy to navigate
  • Upload and format new content (text, images, links)
  • Support improvements to layout, structure and user experience where needed
  • Liaise with the team to ensure content reflects current priorities
  • Monitor basic performance (e.g., engagement, usability) where possible

What are we looking for?

  • Experience managing or updating websites (e.g. WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)
  • Good attention to detail and clarity in written communication
  • Confidence working independently and managing small updates regularly
  • Interest in inclusion, identity and dialogue
  • Basic understanding of accessibility and user experience is helpful
