Volunteer Committee Secretary/Administrator
The role of the Committee secretary/administrator is to support the Chair in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Committee group, which includes ensuring meetings are effectively organised and documented.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a volunteer who has experience of the following:
- To be an effective administrator/secretary you will be someone who can organise meetings and activities.
- If you are a person who has a great eye for detail and can work in a methodical way to support community activity then this might be a good role for you.
- You will need good communication skills and enjoy meeting new people.
- An administrator/secretary needs to be IT literate, have good administrative and record keeping skills and be able to follow relevant procedures.
- Proactive interest in community engagement
What are we looking for?
Ideally we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience
- Minute taking
- IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Maintaining confidentiality handling data including digital storage
- Good interpersonal skills including effective communication
- Good understanding of community projects
- Strong accuracy when producing minutes and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to quickly understand the needs of CAL
- Proactive with seeking clarification, when required
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
