The WCBS maintains a fleet of historic boats of national importance and uses them for the community. However, the charity is little known nationally. To address this we plan to  release multiple videos about our work on video platforms. The aim is to form a team to do this.

What will you be doing?

The WCBS has 6 boats up to 125 years old. It operates a wellbeing boat and is planning more restorations. The idea is to spread the word by uploading long and short videos featuring various aspect of the work. The volunteer will be making videos, sharing video clips with other volunteers, harvesting video taken by amateur volunteers and uploading completed videos to the charity's accounts on Youtube, Tiktok and any other suitable platforms

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has experience of videography, editing and using online platforms to inform and entertain. Ideally they should be someone who is a team player, prepared to co-operate with others to make the best products possible.

What difference will you make?

This role will help the organisation by increasing its national profile, making it more likely  to obtain grants and donations. It may also be possible to generate a regular income by monetising accounts. This will enable the charity to do more work restoring important heritage boats and putting them to work on mental health and environment related community projects.

Before you apply

When a volunteer contacts us we will make arrangements for them to visit and have a tour of the charity's work sites. If we wish to continue they will be put in touch with others involved in digital promotion so that arrangements can be made for them to start work.
