Trustees -charity (vulnerable people)
As a Trustee of Valley House you will act as a "critical friend" to the Senior Management Team, using your expertise to support us deliver high quality accommodation based and community support to vulnerable individuals and families
What will you be doing?
As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of Valley House and making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
Our board has a close relationship with our senior management team, and prides itself on being very friendly and relaxed.
You may already have some form of trustee/board experience from the public, private or voluntary sector or have experience/knowledge of the communities we work with. Most importantly we welcome your support for the work we do and the willingness to make the time commitment needed. We strive for diversity, including in our Board membership and welcome as broad a representation as possible.
We are particularly looking for people with:
Property management experience- we own 22 properties and also lease properties from 2 Registered Providers. We have our own internal maintenance team and are confident in managing the properties on a day to day basis. We would value having a Board member to support us in ensuring we adhere to good practice in property management and plan for the future.
Social care experience- having a Board member who has worked/is working within a similar field to the work we do at Valley House would support the Board to further develop its role as our "critical friend"
