We have grown quickly in reputation and opportunities and aim to be the go-to membership organisation for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in the charity sector.

To make the most of these opportunities and to create positive change for the LGBTQIA+ community, we are formalising as a charitable incorporated organisation.

This role will join our Board of four trustees and will provide strategic oversight and leadership to accomplish Proud Changemakers vision.

In particular we focus on:

  • Empowering the LGBTQIA+ voluntary sector and civil society leaders of tomorrow
  • Championing the LGBTQIA+ voluntary sector and civil society leaders of today
  • Supporting and educating non-LGBTQIA+ voluntary sector and civil society leaders to become inclusive allies
  • Create cultures of inclusion and belonging for all LGBTQIA+ people in the voluntary sector and civil society organisations

All trustees must always adhere to our Code of Conduct – please see this attached to the role for reference. You will be asked to sign a declaration of eligibility prior to appointment and will be vetted in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy.

As a LGBTQIA+, anti-racist, anti-ableist and trans-inclusive organisation, Proud Changemakers strives to be an organisation that celebrates diversity, promotes inclusion, values different perspectives, and prioritises the well-being and growth of every individual. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds and diverse groups to apply and to be themselves when they get here - we don't want you to fit with us, we want you to bring your energy to the party. We strongly believe a diverse and cohesive organisation which reflects the community is a strength.
