Trustee Position Mansfield Traquair (x3)
Join the Mansfield Traquair Trust as a Trustee and help care for one of Scotland’s most significant historic buildings and the murals of Phoebe Anna Traquair. We seek up to three Trustees with skills in governance, fundraising or communications to support conservation and public benefit.
What will you be doing?
The Board brings together a small group of committed Trustees with strong heritage, governance and operational experience. The Trust’s current priorities are securing long-term financial sustainability, strengthening governance, and supporting the conservation and public use of this internationally significant building and its murals. New Trustees will play an active role in strategic decision-making and may contribute to sub-groups focused on governance, fundraising or communications. This is a rare opportunity to help safeguard an extraordinary place and shape its future for public benefit.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for thoughtful, committed individuals who care about heritage and public benefit. You do not need prior trustee experience, but we are particularly interested in people with skills in charity governance, fundraising or marketing and communications. Strategic thinking, good judgement, and a willingness to contribute time and expertise are essential. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and lived experience who can bring fresh perspectives to the Board.
What difference will you make?
As a Trustee you will help secure the long-term future of one of Scotland’s most important historic interiors and the murals of Phoebe Anna Traquair. Your contribution will strengthen governance, support fundraising and communication, and help ensure the building remains conserved, accessible and valued by the public for generations to come.
