Help shape the future of a growing grassroots CIC. As a Trustee, you'll strengthen governance, provide strategic guidance, and help build partnerships that support adults on their journey towards independent living.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a Trustee to help guide the strategic development of New Journey New Life as we grow our organisation and establish new partnerships.

As a grassroots CIC, we are developing a test pilot that combines temporary and emergency accommodation with compassionate coaching and mentoring, working alongside councils, housing providers, and community organisations.

As a Trustee, you will help shape our long-term strategy, strengthen governance, and support sustainable growth. You will contribute to key decisions, provide constructive challenge, and use your experience to help us build strong partnerships and create a solid foundation for the future.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us at an early stage, where your ideas, experience, and guidance will have a genuine influence on the direction of the organisation. You will play an important role in helping us create opportunities for people rebuilding their lives while supporting the growth of a purpose-driven organisation with ambitious plans for long-term social impact.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating positive social impact and wants to help shape a growing grassroots CIC.

Ideally, you'll have experience in governance, strategy, business, housing, finance, community development, or the voluntary sector. Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to think strategically are important.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with relevant lived experience, who share our values and are committed to helping people rebuild their lives.

What difference will you make?

By joining our Board, you will help lay the foundations for a sustainable organisation that supports adults rebuilding their lives after homelessness and other significant life challenges.

Your strategic guidance and governance will help us grow responsibly, strengthen partnerships with councils, housing providers, and community organisations, and increase our ability to deliver safe accommodation alongside compassionate coaching and mentoring.

Your contribution will help shape the future of the organisation, enabling us to reach more people, create lasting social impact, and build sustainable pathways towards independent living.

Before you apply

Suitable applicants will be invited to an informal online interview to discuss their experience, values, and interest in the role. Successful candidates will then be invited to meet the Founder and explore how they can contribute to the organisation's vision and long-term development. We aim to respond to all applications as soon as possible.
