The Gas Safe Charity is seeking to appoint a Trustee to join the Board

What will you be doing?

The Gas Safe Charity works with key partners and trusted intermediaries to provide assistance to vulnerable people at times of need and promote a greater understanding of the signs and symptoms of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.  The charity has a turnover of around £500k and was established in 2009.

As a Trustee and Director, you will take a strategic overview of the charity's activities.  There are six Board meetings a year held during the day, plus an Awayday.   Trustees are appointed for an initial term of three years, which may be extended to a maximum of nine years.

We would like to hear from you if you have general non-executive director experience.

What are we looking for?

To enable us to achieve our mission and continue our strategy, we are looking for  a Trustee to join the Board with skills and experience in the following area:

  • General non-executive director experience to provide challenge across the whole range of our work and governance.

We strongly believe that it is important to have a board which reflects the diversity of our society and the people with whom we work.

What difference will you make?

As Trustees, you will support the Board in making sound decisions and develop new initiatives.  The charity's work helps vulnerable people  on gas safety problems and organises information and training programmes on Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
