We're seeking a new Trustee with fundraising experience to help the charity, using your skills to help the board reach its aim to make the charity sustainable in the long term. To do this we need to raise funds to get to the next level. Crowd funding, Events, Trusts etc.

 

What will you be doing?

As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of Life Education East Midlands and making a real difference to the lives of children in our communities.

This year we’re making some important decisions about funding and the future expansion of our Charity, and the board will be leading that change. We need a year of fantastic fundraising to put us in an exciting position of being able to see substantial growth in  the organisation strengthening our reach in all our licenced areas.  but funding distribution is uneven, meaning resources for existing services must be managed carefully.

For this reason, we’re looking for trustees with experience working in charities that have undergone major transformation or restructures. If you have worked in change management, even better! We hope the next five years will see some incredible new advances in helping children make healthy choices.

Our board has a close relationship with our CEO and management team, and prides itself on being very friendly and relaxed. Also being a delivery partner of Coram SCARF, one of a network of Trusts in other regions. We also have a  sub-committees that provide direction on our marketing and digital functions, and an inexperienced team of volunteers who need direction and guidance to take advantage of opportunities where and when they can be found. A trustee with experience and a creative streak to get more involved in converting opportunities into successes.

 

 


 

What are we looking for?

The Trustee will have a proven record of success in bid writing and Fundraising over a number of years

The ability to lead, provide advice and willingness to undertake and assist members of our fundraising group to create strong applications

What difference will you make?

We are a Children's Health & Wellbeing charity with a vast experience in delivering our services in Primary schools. We try to raise funds to assist them in accessing our provision.

Schools are challenged with absenteeism and children suffering from anxiety and depression, meeting Government and Ofsted requirements, with budgets being are constantly under pressure, we try to support schools by raising funds to reduce the cost of accessing our tried and trusted services.

Our Mental Health and PSHE Wellbeing workshops help children make healthy choices. Our SCARF digital platform resource for Teaching staff is constantly being used to access over 300 lesson plans and materials, and additional support from our highly skilled team, all inclusive in our offer to schools.

We are currently working to our 5 year business plan to become self sufficient. However in order to reach this goal we need to increase the number of schools schools and children we reach throughout our licences areas on Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

We need experienced help. As a Trustee with skills to assist in meeting these challenges, you can help our board to meet our organisational vision.
