Trustee - CPRE Norfolk
Do you care about the future of the Norfolk countryside? Do you have skills you could bring to our work? CPRE Norfolk are looking for potential Trustees to contribute to our important work protecting beautiful Norfolk.
What will you be doing?
We have three sub-committees:
1. Vision for Norfolk (V4N) which covers campaigns, planning, water, agriculture, transport, energy, light pollution, biodiversity and more.
2. Events Membership and Communications (EMC) which covers events, fundraising, volunteers, membership, PR, media, youth, profile, awards and more.
3. Finance and General Purposes (FGP) which covers finance, administration, secretarial, governance, compliance, staffing, training and more.
The sub-committees and executive committee each meet four times a year, plus there are opportunities to contribute to much of our work in between meetings. We are a friendly and supportive team with a wide range of specialist knowledge all working very hard to protect the Norfolk countryside as a precious resource for all. Committee work is varied, very interesting and offers an opportunity to contribute and develop your skills whilst meeting a wide variety of interesting people from across Norfolk and beyond.
What are we looking for?
We welcome people from all sorts of backgrounds and with all sorts of skill sets, however, experience in planning, agriculture or campaigning will be particularly welcomed.
A background in rural affairs, wildlife, environmental or transport issues, or specialist knowledge with regard to green energy, farming or biodiversity is also welcomed. So too are those with a background in the tourist industry, journalism, PR, social media, or information technology.
If you have academic, legal or scientific specialist knowledge, or have spent a career in teaching or local government and you think would contribute to our work your application is welcomed.
The required skills laid out below is just a guide to the range of skills which might be useful, not a prescription. If you think you have some valuable experience to contribute to our work, then please get in touch.
What difference will you make?
This is an excellent opportunity to play a senior role in a respected local environmental organisation, applying your skills and experience to make a real difference to the Norfolk countryside, whilst being part of a friendly and passionate group.

Before you apply
Please send a brief outline of the relevant background, skills and experience you could bring to CPRE Norfolk, why you would like to be considered as a potential Trustee, any other Trustee experience you may have had, and what your particular interests are in our work/what you consider the greatest threats are to the Norfolk countryside.
