Treasurer for a Domestic Abuse Charity

0-5 hours / month

We are looking for a candidate that  shares the same values as the charity, is passionate in community safety, and making a difference to the lives of survivors of domestic abuse.  Experience in a key role within Neighbourhood Watch useful.

What will you be doing?

The door is open for all applications and interest, and it may particularly interest a candidate that either works part-time or is semi retired.  A key skill-set that would be most helpful is leadership and people management as there is the potential for the successful candidate to combine the Treasurer role with Vice-Chair.

What are we looking for?

As the Founder of the charity I have always said that candidates with lived experience or is aware of a person or people that have endured domestic abuse, have greater understanding and empathy than someone that hasn't had any experience.  So, what I would be looking for in a candidate is passion, drive, motivation and understanding to empower a person's/people's lives.

What difference will you make?

As the Treasurer with financial skills, you can help ensure that the charity achieves it's 5 year plan in implementing an all encompassing holistic service for survivors of domestic abuse.

Before you apply

As the CEO of the charity, I would like to see a covering letter with their CV, outlining why joining this charity is important to them.

Interviews will be arranged through myself and a trustee who oversees recruitment.  We expect interviews to commence within August and September,
