We are looking for a new Team Leader.

Would you like to use your enthusiasm and skills to lead a group of dedicated volunteers running a vital community service in Cornwall?

What will you be doing?

Read Easy Cornwall is in our fourth year and we are looking to recruit a new Team Leader.

We help adults in Cornwall who need reading support. If you’re inspired to lead others and be part of a genuinely transformational charity, volunteer with Read Easy and support a team of local volunteers. This role will appeal to people who are motivated by managing a team of diverse volunteers, and by the challenge of ultimately helping hundreds of adults in their community who can’t read.

What are we looking for?

Strong leadership and team management skills and experience with the ability to motivate and inspire trust and confidence in others

An ability to think and act strategically, set goals, plan work and delegate

An open attitude that encourages two way communication and willingness to ask for and offer support to the team

A non-judgmental attitude and respect for others, with a commitment to equality and diversity

Energy and enthusiasm

What difference will you make?

The impact of learning to read is tangible for both volunteers and new readers. The phrase we hear from our new readers time-and-time again is ‘life-changing’. But for our volunteers too the process of helping adults learn to read can have a profound effect on their lives. If you’d like to play a key part in helping to transform the lives of adults near you, why not get in touch?
