What difference will you make?

The Social Media Volunteer is essential. They manage our digital storefront of empathy. Your work is not about viral trends but ensuring that people experiencing loss feel seen, heard and found by our community.

1. Combating Isolation and Finding the Unfound

Your most critical impact is reaching the person who feels completely alone in their grief. Loss is isolating, and social media is often the first, safest place a person will reach out for help:

  • Broadening Our Reach: By managing five diverse platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Facebook), you ensure that our message of support breaks through the noise and finds people from different backgrounds and age groups (e.g., reaching younger parents on TikTok or professionals on LinkedIn).
  • Creating a Safe Space: You craft posts and monitor engagement with a consistent, empathetic tone. This establishes Heaven's Playground as a safe, non-judgmental sanctuary online. You are the digital gatekeeper of our supportive environment.
  • Direct Connection: Every share, comment, and message you manage directly contributes to connecting a hurting individual with the right resources, whether it’s a Certificate of Life, information about a Memory Box or a simple, reassuring word that lets them know they are not alone.

2. Amplifying Our Mission and Remembrance

Social media is the loudspeaker for our core activities, and you control the volume and tone:

  • Honouring Lives: You bring our remembrance projects like the Perpetual Flame to a wider audience. By showcasing these initiatives respectfully, you actively participate in the collective healing process of "Saying Their Names."
  • Driving Support: Your campaigns and regular content make people aware of why we exist and why donations are crucial. This helps drive traffic to the online shop and donation pages, which in turn funds the donation of Memory Boxes to hospitals and Funeral Homes.

3. Fostering Diversity and Inclusion

By working across platforms and engaging with diverse communities, your role helps ensure that Heaven's Playground Org remains inclusive:

  • Representing All Loss: You ensure our messaging acknowledges the spectrum of loss experiences, from baby loss to the loss of a parent, making sure all grievers feel represented and welcomed.
  • Attracting Diverse Voices: A vibrant, inclusive social media presence is vital for attracting those who need us.

In essence, the Social Media Volunteer transforms silent grief into supported connection. You are the vital link between our resources and the thousands of people searching for understanding every day.
