Watford Carnival is seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Manager to help tell our story and amplify our impact across digital platforms. The successful volunteer will create engaging content, manage social media channels, promote events, and help build a vibrant online community.

What will you be doing?

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and growing Watford Carnival’s online presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. Key responsibilities include creating engaging content (posts, reels, and stories), scheduling and publishing updates, promoting carnival activities and events, and interacting with the online community to increase engagement. The role will also involve working closely with the wider carnival team to ensure consistent messaging and brand visibility leading up to and during the event.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone creative, proactive, and confident in using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Xand TikTok. The ideal volunteer should have experience in content creation, basic graphic design or video editing, and an understanding of how to grow engagement online. Strong communication skills, consistency, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential. Experience managing social media for a brand, event, or organisation will be an advantage.

The Social Media Manager will play a key role in increasing the visibility and reach of Watford Carnival. Their work will shape how we present the carnival to the public, sponsors, and community, helping us build excitement, attract larger audiences, and strengthen engagement across digital platforms. Through compelling content and consistent communication, they will help us tell our story more effectively and grow a stronger online community around the event.
