Secretary (Trustee)

You will play a central role by maintaining effective records, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and enabling smooth coordination of Board activities. This role is ideal for someone who values transparency, organisation, and communication.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and minute quarterly board and AGM meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible governance records (e.g. trustee registers, policies).
  • Ensure timely filings with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
  • Support internal communication between trustees and staff.
  • Keep the organisation up to date with statutory and governance obligations.

Time Commitment: Approx. 5–10 hours per week.

What are we looking for?

  • Administration experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with charity governance or willingness to learn
  • Integrity, discretion, and a proactive attitude
  • Prior board experience (desirable but not essential)
