Partnership and engagement lead
Help People in Harmony build partnerships with organisations focused on inclusion, identity and community. This role involves developing collaborations, networking with like-minded groups and individuals to create opportunities for shared learning, events and engagement.
What will you be doing?
People in Harmony is seeking a volunteer to develop and strengthen relationships with organisations and individuals whose work aligns with our aims around inclusion, identity, and dialogue.
This role centres on building meaningful connections with groups such as Mixed Museum, Mixed Race Faces, and similar organisations. The aim is to extend reach, share knowledge, and open up collaborative opportunities.
- Identify and approach individuals organisations with shared interests
- Initiate and maintain partnerships that support mutual goals
- Develop collaborative ideas such as joint events, campaigns, or knowledge exchange
- Represent People in Harmony in external conversations
- Keep a clear record of contacts and partnership activity
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable experience (minimum 3 years) in business development
- Confidence in building and sustaining external relationships with a clear, purposeful approach
- Strong written communication and ability to represent the organisation effectively
- Ability to identify opportunities and translate ideas into practical collaborative activity
- Experience of networking, outreach or stakeholder engagement
- Interest in issues relating to race, identity and inclusion
- Reliable follow-through and ability to manage contacts and partnerships in an organised way
