  • To contribute to the marketing of the Community Interest Company's (CIC) business objectives by providing advice and guidance around marketing to the Board.

What will you be doing?

As a Board member, you will have a central role in raising awareness about and addressing the needs of autistic survivors of sexual violence and related abuse.

Our second year has seen increased success in fundraising, resulting in the opening and development of some exciting projects with our beneficiaries. In addition, the take-up of our diverse training programme is growing. Nevertheless, funding related to our specialist area of work is competitive, and all our funding streams, and our CIC as a whole would benefit from strong marketing.

For this reason, we are looking for candidates with experience working in the voluntary sector and good marketing knowledge and skills.  If you are someone who enjoys supporting change and development, you may be the person we need! We are looking to make real progress over the next few years, and you could play a critical role.

Our team prides itself on being very friendly and likes to tap into the skills of each member. So, there are very real opportunities for you.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous marketing experience
  • Experienced in improving marketing and communications that fit with a brand
  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Awareness of the sexual violence / abuse
  • Knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection legislation
  • Accessible work presentation
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Proficient with IT and Microsoft Suite
  • Commitment to our mission
  • Eligible to work in the UK

What difference will you make?

As a Board member with marketing skills, you will be helping to ensure our Board can improve and develop our marketing. With the roll out of projects and increasing take-up of our training this is increasingly important in order to see a productive third year for our CIC. We also anticipate guidance on the marketing of our webinars to strengthen their future success.

A key part of this role is also to increase the CIC’s membership and support the Board in the promotion of events to a wide audience, and this entails the provision of advice in a range of inclusive formats to ensure the equity of our work.

The overall impact of your role will be the raising of awareness of the prevalence of sexual violence and the needs of autistic survivors. You will be working collectively with the Board and team in order to achieve this goal and address our vision, namely a society where survivors are believed and supported to move on with their lives as they recover.
