Head of SEND & Inclusion
Help shape the future of inclusive STEM education. Advise an award-winning education charity on supporting children and young people with SEND, develop instructor training, and help build an organisation where every learner can thrive.
What will you be doing?
Ignite Hubs is an award-winning education charity that inspires children and young people to develop skills in technology, STEM and the creative industries. We believe every child should have the opportunity to learn, regardless of their background or additional needs.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Head of SEND & Inclusion to help us strengthen how we support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across our onsite and online programmes.
This is a strategic advisory role. Working closely with the Founder, instructors and curriculum team, you will help us embed inclusive practice across the organisation and increase instructor confidence in supporting learners with a wide range of needs.
Areas you may support include:
- Reviewing our current programmes and identifying opportunities to improve inclusion.
- Advising on reasonable adjustments for onsite and online learning.
- Developing a SEND & Inclusion module for our Instructor Training Programme.
- Creating practical guidance and resources for instructors and volunteers.
- Reviewing curriculum and learning resources through an inclusion lens.
- Advising on accessible teaching approaches, classroom environments and learning technologies.
- Supporting the development of a longer-term SEND & Inclusion Strategy.
- Identifying opportunities for partnerships, collaboration and funding to strengthen our SEND provision.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the Founder on SEND and inclusion matters.
We are looking for someone who enjoys helping organisations develop, sharing knowledge and creating practical solutions that improve opportunities for children and young people.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.

- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and learning.
- Ability to translate specialist knowledge into practical guidance for instructors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for improving educational opportunities for children and young people.
Desirable
- Experience developing staff training or professional development programmes.
- Experience reviewing curriculum or educational programmes.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and accessible learning.
- Experience developing organisational SEND or Inclusion strategies.
- Experience identifying funding opportunities or developing partnerships.
- Interest in STEM, technology or creative education.
What difference will you make?
Your expertise will help Ignite Hubs ensure that more children and young people with SEND can access, enjoy and benefit from our programmes.
Your work will help us create a learning environment where every child and young person has the opportunity to develop confidence, discover their potential and flourish.
