Wunderkind Graphic Design Support for Small Multi Award-Winning National Charity
Bring your talents & design skills to help a small, multi-award winning, family-centred charity, delivering virtual experiences in the UK called Muscle Dreams, as a result of COVID-19, for children with Muscular Dystrophy
What will you be doing?
You will assist us with digital design support. You'll use your experience and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to deliver assets.
Some of the many and varied tasks may include creating and updating the following:
- Being a Muscle Warrior Brand Guardian and making sure the charity's guidelines are up to date and correctly applied
- Social media image design and template creation for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Image design and resizing for example banners and/or header images for the charity's website and email newsletters
- Ad hoc print and digital design for fundraising events, corporate giving, etc
- Design & print of lanyard cards to be given to volunteers & beneficiaries at non-virtual Muscle Dream events
- Help with occasional branding projects for exciting new fundraising events
- Liaison with MHF’s CEO and other Muscle Warrior volunteers
- Occasional comms with those involved with PR and/or social media activity
You will be working with the charity's inspiring CEO, together with other volunteers.
This opportunity would lend itself very well for someone to work remotely ie. from home.
What are we looking for?
If you have a passion for digital design, then this opportunity is for you. You will have related qualifications and a level of commercial experience of designing in a voluntary or paid capacity or perhaps you're a very ambitious design student looking to put learning into practice. In terms of skills, experience and talents, we are looking for:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - vital
- Have a professional and proactive approach - vital
- Be able to build positive working relationships with others - nice to have
- Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop - vital
- Strong attention to detail - vital
- Experience (ideally more than 3yrs) and enthusiasm for digital communications incl social media - nice to have
- Ability to write for example headlines for banners, or applying 2-3 words on a YouTube thumbnail - nice to have
