Fundraising & Partnerships Officer
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Fundraising & Partnerships Officer. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing financial resources and expanding our impact in supporting Black Women in the UK.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet financial targets.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and sponsorship requests.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising materials and communications.
- Track and report on fundraising progress and donor engagement.
- Represent Black Girls Brunch at networking events, conferences, and meetings.
- Manage communications with patrons and develop digital strategies to engage them.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and partnership development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Passionate about the mission of Black Girls Brunch and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We are inviting professionals from a wide range of careers. Bid writing experience is desirable.

Requirements
Fundraising Expertise: A solid understanding of different fundraising strategies, techniques, and best practices is essential. This includes knowledge of individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, events, online fundraising, and major donor cultivation.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling fundraising appeals, donor correspondence, and grant proposals.
Relationship Building: Building and nurturing relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders. Skilled at cultivating long-term relationships and engaging with diverse individuals and organisations.
Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans. This involves setting clear objectives, identifying target audiences, and creating effective strategies to reach fundraising goals.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial literacy to manage budgets, analyse fundraising metrics, and track the effectiveness of various fundraising activities. An understanding of financial management principles is important to ensure funds are allocated appropriately.
Networking Skills: Strong networking skills to identify and connect with potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Project Management: Effective project management skills for planning and executing fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives. This includes managing timelines, resources.
Creativity and Innovation: Developing innovative fundraising ideas and approaches to help capture the attention of donors.
Confidence with all Microsoft Office packages
