International Network for Training, Education, and Research for Yemen

Fundraising Assistant (Grants)

Available
Remote
0-5 hours / month
1-3 hours / week

Our Fundraising Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the financing of our charitable charity.  Our roles are predominantly virtual from home.  Travel abroad is not required.  We are a friendly, close-knit organization.

What will you be doing?

The role may have elements of: Seeking grants and helping to complete applications requests for funding; Administrative Support; Communication and Collaboration;

We have several projects ongoing that are focussed on improving patient outcomes in Yemen.  We need dedicated, conscientious, and most of all consistent volunteers who want to improve health inequalities across the world.  However, everyone has different skills and we are aware that we work in a collegiate manner, with everyone contributing their own skills and interests for a wider good.

As an ethical organisation, we want to ensure that we are always working to the highest standards, whether those are statutory, such as those required by the Charity Commission; or of other charitable associations.

What are we looking for?

  • Governance
  • Grant seeking
  • Application completion
  • Administrative Support
  • Communication and Collaboration (at least 3 years of experience of effective communication and collaboration)
  • Data Management
  • Monitoring and Reporting

What difference will you make?

You will be helping a small charity to seek funding for capacity building projects.  This may involve both open grant applications, and proactively seeking grants from other grant providers that are not publicly advertised.  This is especially so given that we work in other parts of the world.

There will be support available so that you are aware of how to work in a culturally-sensitive manner.  Good communication is vital; speaking Arabic in addition to English is helpful, but not vital.  Similarly, experience of healthcare and low-resource settings would be helpful, but not essential.

We are happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Before you apply

Please can you attach a CV and details of 2 references.

We will then organise an informal chat to see how we can work together.

Volunteers will be made aware of our ethical guidelines.
