Help People in Harmony organise inclusive community events that bring mixed race people, couples and families together. This flexible volunteer role involves supporting small-scale activities, coordinating with others and helping create welcoming spaces for connection and wellbeing.

What will you be doing?

This role focuses on helping us organise a small number of activities each year in a way that is realistic and inclusive.

You will:

  • Help organise virtual events or community activities
  • Coordinate with other volunteers and committee members
  • Ensure activities are realistic and inclusive
  • Support delivery of events where needed
  • Lead organisation of the Annual General Meeting and any Extraordinary General Meetings 

What are we looking for?

  • Good organisational skills, with at least 3 years’ experience planning or coordinating activities, events or projects
  • Practical and collaborative approach, with experience working as part of a team to deliver shared outcomes
  • Interest in community activities or events
  • Ability to keep things manageable and proportionate, with experience balancing priorities and resources effectively
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a track record of working constructively with others to achieve agreed goals
