Endometriosis Support Group Facilitators
Support people living with endometriosis and adenomyosis by facilitating compassionate, trauma-informed peer support groups. Use experience to foster connection, reduce isolation, and create safe spaces for healing, understanding, and empowerment.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking experienced Support Group Facilitators to lead our monthly peer support groups. This role is ideal for individuals who already have a strong background in group facilitation, peer support, counselling, advocacy, or related support roles, and who are confident holding space for emotionally complex and sensitive discussions. Prior experience is essential, as facilitators will be responsible for guiding groups safely, ethically, and effectively.
As a Support Group Facilitator, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environments where participants feel respected, heard, and supported. You will facilitate structured and semi-structured group discussions, encourage peer connection, and help ensure that all voices are acknowledged while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Facilitators are expected to manage group dynamics thoughtfully, including responding to distress, navigating difficult conversations, and gently redirecting discussion where necessary.
This role requires a strong understanding of emotional well-being, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice. You must be able to recognise when participants may need additional support and follow clear escalation and safeguarding procedures. Experience working with marginalised or under-served communities, and confidence in inclusive and non-judgemental communication, is highly valued.
Support groups take place monthly, and facilitators are expected to prepare in advance, attend sessions reliably, and engage in reflective practice following each group. While lived experience may be valuable, it does not replace the requirement for prior facilitation or support experience. Facilitators must be able to prioritise the needs of the group over personal experience and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
We are committed to supporting our facilitators. Full training, including organisational values, safeguarding, trauma-informed facilitation, and group management, will be provided. You will also receive ongoing guidance, supervision, and peer support to ensure you feel confident and well-supported in the role. This training is designed to complement your existing experience, not replace it.
In return, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals in a compassionate, structured, and ethical way. You will be part of a values-driven organisation committed to accessibility, inclusion, and high-quality support.
If you are an experienced facilitator who is passionate about creating safe spaces and supporting emotional well-being, we would welcome your application.
