What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

• You will be supporting our Founder in producing an ongoing documentary based on HMS’ mission and journey to bring a bill through parliament.
• Provide assistance in operating & moving cameras, lighting or other recording equipment as is necessary.
• Support our Founder in identifying locations for filming, props, and identifying any suitable actors for the film.

Training & Guidance:

• You will be given personal, tailored training, direction and leadership by our Founder, a RSA & BFI fellow, and British Council Alumnus, with 20 years experience in the film industry. Our Founder will be your main point of contact.

• Someone who is interested in and passionate in developing their documentary production skills.
• Ideally, we are looking for someone who has already has some professional experience in operating film cameras and lighting equipment.

• Your work will directly help us fund and deliver bold civic art interventions and national democratic processes that aim to influence real policy change.
• We intend to have a broad audience and high exposure. If successful, your film would influence national debates and conversations around political issues.

Our Onboarding Process

If you are interested, please write a short brief introduction about yourself and why you would like to apply and submit to us via Reach Volunteering. 

We will respond back to you within 7 days and discuss your eligibility.

Candidates will then be invited for an informal discussion either in person or online with our Operations Coordinator or our Founder to further understand if you would be a strong fit for the role.
