What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

• You will be producing engaging content that champions and publicises our art-political campaigns to a broader audience.
• You may film and/or photograph people on the street in order to produce social media content. When doing so, you will be mindful and respectful of their identity, privacy and space.
• Editing our social media content in a way that is engaging and interesting to our target audiences.
• Uploading media to a variety of social media platforms, including but not limited to Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
• Coordinating with our Media team where necessary to increase our publicity.
• Building our professional presence on popular social media platforms, so we build political momentum and authentic rapport with the public.
• Engaging with comments and responses to our social media posts where possible in a respectful & engaging manner that provokes more audience engagement. 

Training & Guidance:

• You will be directly attached to our Press & PR Team, who will provide support & guidance.
• You will also given guidance and support by our Founder, Joshua, who is a RSA & BFI fellow, and British Council Alumnus.

What are we looking for?

• We are seeking a content creator with experience in filming, writing and editing social media content who can operate independently and autonomously.
• Ideally an flexible individual who can accommodate for our art exhibitions (See Commitment & Availability)
• Familiarity with the social media landscape, i.e. well known content creators/influencers, as well as current trends & memes. You must have excellent discernment in their appropriateness, and their relation to our organisation and its appropriateness.
• Ideally an confident person who can effectively leverage photography and film to generate content, as well as being comfortable with cultivating a public persona on behalf of Hive Mind Speaks.

• Your work will directly help us fund and deliver bold civic art interventions and national democratic processes that aim to influence real policy change.
• We believe in grassroots change. Our mission is to spark conversation from the grassroots level - your work is fundamental to the success and realisation of this vision. Your content will publicise our work, and help to broaden our audience base, and be the key to generating public political momentum behind our organisation/movement.

Our Onboarding Process

If you are interested, please write a short brief introduction about yourself and why you would like to apply and submit to us via Reach Volunteering. 

We will respond back to you within 7 days and discuss your eligibility.

Candidates will then be invited for an informal discussion either in person or online with our Operations Coordinator or our Founder to further understand if you would be a strong fit for the role.
