3-7 hours / week

Wilder International works to enhance biodiversity locally and improve wildlife welfare internationally. We are looking for a communications officer with a passion for animal welfare and conservation to help us raise awareness, funds and extend our reach.

What will you be doing?

Wilder International has only been operating since the beginning of 2025 but has achieved a great deal in that time, so much so that the requests for support outweigh our current capacity.

We are seeking a talented communications volunteer who can help us raise awareness, funds and extend our reach to support our current projects and help reach more partners in need of support to improve the welfare of the rescued animals in their care and aid biodiversity conservation.

We are looking for someone who can manage our website, social media channels and create resources both for Wilder and our project partners. We also have projects that pop up throughout the year such as our wildlife calendar if you are feeling creative.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience in communications and digital engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience....

  • Managing websites using WordPress
  • Operating social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
  • Utilising social media software such as Buffer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and Canva

It is also essential that the communications officer is passionate about wildlife welfare and conservation but no direct experience is necessary.

Highly advantageous skills would also include graphic design and video editing.

What difference will you make?

Your input to our communication channels will help Wilder International educate and inform our audience about conservation and wildlife welfare issues, ensuring that our website and other digital media reflects our mission, vision and values. You will help us showcase our incredible project partners and the vital work they are doing and provide hands on support creating resources that educate and inspire sanctuary staff to maintain the highest standard of welfare.

Before you apply

Please send your CV and a bit about yourself, background and why you would like to work with us at Wilder International.

We will be looking to fill this role as soon as possible, with interviews being conducted remotely as and when we receive applications that are a good fit.
