Communications Assistant to support sustainable transport charity

Transform Scotland is the national campaign for sustainable transport. This post involves working alongside our Communications Officer and other staff members, to deliver communications, campaigns, and public affairs activities.

What will you be doing?

  • assist with the formulation and delivery of our marketing and communications strategies, including encouraging diversity and engaging with new, younger audiences to our organisation (key deliverable).
  • prepare content for our website, social media channels, and email marketing.
  • assist with the preparation of publications (digital & print).
  • assist with the planning and delivery of events (online and in-person).
  • assist with the preparation of analytics for our marketing and communications activities, and
  • report on progress to the Communications Officer and Director.
  • flexibility opportunities for involvement with other organisational activities may be offered.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years experience in communications e.g media, digital strategy, social media marketing, public affairs.
  • Experience of engaging new audiences and diversity e.g younger people.
  • Desirable to have some skills in event coordination.
  • Desirable to have experience of campaigning within a small team.
  • Flexibility and a good sense of humour required as we are a fun, informal team who work hard but also like to laugh.
