What are we looking for?

Traditionally chairs of the Music Therapy Charity have either had a background in leadership of large organisations and knowledge and/or interest in music therapy. We ensure that our work is diverse and inclusive and welcome enquiries from all suitably experienced individuals regardless of age, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, religion or belief, and disability. We also welcome enquiries from individuals who have received music therapy or supported someone thereof.

What difference will you make?

The current Chair, Professor Helen Odell Miller OBE is stepping down at the end of her 4 year term during which time she has overseen major developments in the mission and branding of the charity and developing a fundraising strategy.

The charity now needs to focus on fundraising in order to increase the amount of funding it can give to advance music therapy as a powerful, evidence-based treatment option accessible to all who could benefit from it.
