Foundation grant success as much about relationship building as it is about great writing. We believe organisational development must happen prior to approaching grant funding sources!
What will you be doing?
We are interested in bringing on board an experienced in professional writing (research-led, grant writing, bid writing and / or supporting editorial text) in a cultural, education or heritage context.
What will you be doing?
- Researching, writing and collating grant applications within the fundraising team.
- Liaising with grant-funding bodies across the arts, cultural and heritage sector.
- Collaborating with existing (funding) partners and developing new relationships with potential partners, funders and donors.
In essence, you will be a confident self-starter with the ability to research, apply for relevant funding streams and form strong relationships with beneficiaries, potential donors and volunteers.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a good track record of applying for grants in the arts and cultural sector, particularly heritage.

Essential
- Experience of liaising with grant making bodies and writing grant applications
- Able to communicate effectively with collaborators from different contexts
- Able to work to tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Able to work remotely and within a flat structure organisation
- Able to commit 10 hours a week near funding deadlines (typical commitment minimum 4 hours per week)
Desired
- Research background, preferably in Cultural Heritage sector
- Experience of developing and managing a funding strategy in the third sector
