AI Operations / AI Systems Architect MD

What will you be doing?

We are not looking to simply use AI tools.

We are designing an AI-first organisation from the ground up.

Our goal is to create a network of specialised S.I.S.S. Agents (internal AI systems and digital workers) that can automate and support thousands of operational processes across the organisation.

We are seeking an exceptional Volunteer AI Operations & AI Systems Architect MD to help lead this vision.

Role Purpose

As our Volunteer AI Operations & AI Systems Architect MD, you will be responsible for designing the long-term AI architecture that powers S.I.S.S C.I.C.

Working directly with the founders, you will map, design, and oversee the creation of an interconnected ecosystem of AI agents, workflows, automations, and knowledge systems that support almost every area of the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about artificial intelligence, automation, systems thinking, Claude.ai, agentic workflows, operational excellence, and building the future of work.

You will have the opportunity to recruit and lead a team of volunteer specialists who share your vision and can help build the AI infrastructure required to transform S.I.S.S C.I.C into a globally recognised AI-powered social impact organisation.

Key Responsibilities

AI Organisation Design

• Design the overall AI operating model for S.I.S.S C.I.C
• Create the roadmap for achieving an organisation where up to 80% of operational functions are AI-assisted or AI-managed
• Identify areas suitable for automation, augmentation, and human oversight
• Develop the long-term AI transformation strategy

S.I.S.S. Agent Ecosystem Development

Design and oversee the development of specialised AI agents including but not limited to:

• Research Agents
• Grant Research Agents
• Funding Opportunity Agents
• Marketing Agents
• Social Media Agents
• Volunteer Recruitment Agents

Workflow & Automation Architecture

What are we looking for?

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• NO LESS THAN 3YRS EXPERIENCE
• Is passionate about AI, automation, and the future of work
• Is a power user, advocate, or expert in Claude.ai and modern AI ecosystems
• Has experience designing complex systems, workflows, automations, or operational frameworks
• Understands AI agents, prompt engineering, knowledge management, and process optimisation
• Enjoys solving large-scale organisational challenges
• Is highly strategic while also being capable of practical implementation
• Can think several years ahead and help shape the future of an AI-native organisation
