Call for entries: The Charity Governance Awards 2025
Entries are now open for the 10th Charity Governance Awards 2025, celebrating and rewarding charities achieving great governance.
For the past 10 years, the awards have highlighted the inspiring trustees - and their charities - that make change possible day after day, showcasing the stories that best demonstrate how effective governance can help charities transform the lives of people and the communities in which they live.
Entry to the awards is free and there are five categories to choose from, each offering a £6,000 cash prize to winners and £1,500 to runners-up, among other rewards.
The award categories are:
- Board Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- Challenge to Change
- People in Governance
- Improving Impact (charities with 0-3 paid staff)
- Improving Impact (charities with 4–30 paid staff)
Reach Volunteering is pleased to lead on the Board Equity, Diversity and Inclusion category.
Janet Thorne, CEO of Reach Volunteering, said:
“The tumultuous events of recent years have raised awareness of the importance of equity, and last year we expanded this category to reflect this. Shortlisted charities from previous years have been great examples of how boards can show leadership in tackling the roots of inequity, and we want to celebrate this across the third sector.”
Rosalind Oakley, Co-Founder and Former Chief Executive for Association of Chairs, said:
“The great thing about the Charity Governance Awards is that they not only celebrate good governance, but provide inspiration by example.”
