About me

A determined and persuasive strategist and communicator. Substantial experience in the public sector, at manager and advisory level, including: education, local government, public sector partnership working, policy, strategy, communication and public audit. Developed and delivered corporate strategies and annual reports; leadership and culture development programmes; stakeholder intelligence and relationships programmes and major pan-public sector conferences.

Good networks in  policy and public service leadership community. Strong understanding of political and social context of  public life and key well-being goals of Government. Well-versed in methods for gathering and analysing evidence to support audit and regulatory evaluation.

Accomplished speaker and trainer in demand at an international level on topics including audit scoping and reporting methods.

Chair of Bath youth charity Off the Record, non executive director of the UK community interest company, Community Alcohol Partnerships and Impact and Quality  Improvement Manager with the Wales Audit Office. Princes Trust volunteer with leaving care mentoring scheme. WRVS volunteer Care to Listen scheme. Bulgarian Abandoned Children's Trust volunteer worker in state orphanages.

What am I looking for

I am looking for further non-executive roles where I can contribute my professional experience of governance, engagement and performance management, passion for public service and volunteering enthusisam. While I would prefer a remunerated post I am happy to contribute as a volunteer in this capacity where I have a strong affinity with the aims of the organisation.
