Work history

About me

Exam qualified Corporate Audit Senior, working at EY Edinburgh, due to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with ICAS in September 2020. Experience includes clients operating in the Power & Utilities and Renewable Energy sector. First, two years of my training contract were in the Aberdeen office with a focus on E&P super-majors, oilfield services and global navigation satellite system clients. Experience of clients listed on the FTSE 100, AIM, Fortune 500 and private equity-backed limited companies. I have been awarded EY Badges in Data Visualisation and RPA.

Qualified as a Mechanical Engineer (2.1 BEng) from the University of Aberdeen with a focus in energy and renewables. My honours group thesis was the design of a tidal wave converter farm capable of a 50MW renewable energy supply. After graduating, I worked in the Structural, Flooding and Coastal Engineering department at Aberdeen City Council where I was responsible for determining the future operating costs of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems. I analysed geo-spatial data, using GIS software, to identify indicative flood risks within Aberdeen City.

In the summer of 2015, I raised £1,500 for Childreach International. I was also elected as the university's society Treasurer. I have a keen interest in technology innovation and combating climate change.

What am I looking for
