I'm a charity finance professional and part qualified accountant, with 15 years’ experience mostly within small charities. I have significant experience of the charity environment, working alongside volunteers, navigating changes in funding, and building relationships in small teams with staff and trustees. My skills include bookkeeping (Xero, Sage, Quickbooks), creating finance policies, procedures and controls, budgeting, producing management accounts, forecasting, developing reserves policies and grant management. I've also got experience of setting up new accounting systems and digital tools to reduce data entry, improve reporting and provide user friendly systems for staff. I strongly believe that the right financial systems and management can enable small charities to make even more of an impact!
I’m interested in opportunities to help small organisations improve their financial management through better management accounting (providing finance information in a useful and clear format for everyone who needs it), strong policies, and better use of tools and technology designed for small organisations. I'm particularly interested in opportunities in Oxfordshire where I'm based but can also work remotely.
