About me

Having spent the last 35+ years in business, I am starting to look for opportunities where I can add value in the wider community.  By profession, I am a Programme Manager / Delivery Director used to running large teams and implementing governance structures for highly sensitive organisations.  I currently volunteer in a "pair of hands" capacity at the National Trust and Cancer Research, but would be more than willing to use my professional skills to the advantage of voluntary organisations that might be in need of them.  I am well used to running P&Ls and negotiating contracts from a business perspective (but do not claim to be an accountant or lawyer).

My business experience is mainly in delivering large IT programmes in Airport Construction, Banking, Space & Defence, Logistics, Government, and Retail markets.

I have also managed large change programmes such as Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) programmes, M&A mergers of two company cultures, and TUPEd staff across merging organisations.

All these activities can be highly sensitive and complex processes requiring strong inter-personal skills as well as Digital Technology skills, and I would be very happy to lend my skillls to any charities that might benefit from them.

What am I looking for

The type of role I am looking for is one where I use my organisational, governance or IT management skills to help charities that are requiring organisational development support as they grow and develop new processes.

I am open to the types of charity that may benefit from my experience.  I am a family man and keen environmentalist; and have seen many areas where charities support our society, and believe charity work is admirable and deserving of whatever support I can provide.  I currently volunteer for Cancer Research and the National Trust, but would also like to use my extensive IT skills if possible.
